40. I was recently introduced to Anatolie and his wife by a co-owner of Jack Rabbits Gym. It was at a recent 5-mile community cross-country race and while Anatolie’s performance in the race was impressive (he won), what I found more impressive was the support and attention he gave to the finishers of the 1-mile race that preceded ours. The vast majority of the finishers were children from the community and Anatolie seemed to know many of them. I stood next to Anatolie at the finish line as he welcomed them in and congratulated them. What I observed was a compassionate and caring individual who praises the efforts and achievements of others while setting an example of excellence and sportsmanship by his actions and deeds. It is obvious to me that Anatolie is an asset to the community and is a positive influence on the lives of the people he’s touched including my own.
—Michael Rioux, Cincinnati OH
